I am in La Fortuna, in a beautiful Lodge in front of the Volcan Arenal, but when I arrive in the afternoon it is completely covered by clouds. As sunset approaches, the sky clears up and I go out to try to photograph the volcano that is almost completely cloud free, but still does not want to reveal its “head”.

When the light completely goes for the day and I think I have finished with my photography, I lift my eyes to the sky and I see a beautiful full moon. I don’t have my tripod with me, but I decide to try to photograph it anyway. I lean on a fence trying to stay perfectly still and, while I’m shooting, I see something shiny in front of the moon in the viewfinder. I think it’s a bird and only when I look at what I shot do I realize that it was a plane that had passed. I don’t believe my eyes! I would never have succeeded in taking that kind of shot on purpose!
